August First Friday

August 5th First Friday 5-8p is filled with fun activities Downtown Auburn!

• Live Artist Demonstrations at various locations downtown.

• Chalk Walk-sidewalk chalk kits to the first 20 individuals or groups. Meet at the Linger Longer area on 6th Street. 

• Horse/Wagon Rides (FREE)  Loading every 20 minutes or so at the corner of 7th and Jackson Streets (by James Cultural Plaza)

• Stores open late throughout downtown

• Live musicians at: Becky Hull @ Olive Twist; Dekalb County Community Orchestra @ Auburn Atrium Marketplace

• Special Milk Shakes and Theme Dessert at 9th Street Brew

• Street Theater by Excelsior Arts Academy and Youth Theater at Block Party Area

• Stories Afoot by Eckhart Public Library This month’s book:  A Piece of Chalk by Jennifer A. Ericsson 

• The Olive Twist will be sampling Street Food Corn on the cob seasoned with a Spanish street food flair.  We will also have a vendor in house featuring chalkboard recipes for your kitchen.  She will be taking custom orders for favorite recipe, your kitchen, or for a gift.
