Geography & Genealogy

Our ancestors moved around a lot more than many people think they did. Everywhere they went, they shaped the land, and the land shaped them. Join us at the Genealogy Center on Thursday, January 28th, from 10:00 - 11:00 am, for "Geography & Genealogy." You'll learn how to use land records, maps, and atlases to enhance your family research. Exploring the geography that our ancestors experienced can help us to better understand the context of their lives. More information about the map seen here can be found at our Online Photo Archive. Take a winter road trip with Eckhart Public Library! Winter READ. DO. EXPLORE. runs from December 28th through February 14th.
