Auburn Main Street Presents: Cinco de Mayo First Friday in Historic Downtown Auburn

Auburn, IN – Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with Auburn Main Street as we kick off our First Friday event series on May 3rd, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM in Historic Downtown Auburn. This vibrant event promises an evening of fun, culture, and community spirit with activities suitable for all ages.

Special Activities Include:

Dogs in the Park over Lunch: Mike Thomas and Associates will be providing a hot dog lunch in the park from 11:30-1:00 at Courtyard Park. Lunch is free for anyone wanting to stop by.   

Pinatas on 6^th Street (on the 1/2 hour): Come out for your chance to swing and hit a Pinata filled with goodies.                                                                                                       

Live Music:  The McKenney Harrison Duesenchords will be performing @ 6PM at the James Plaza. They will be performing the National Anthem, Rockin Robin, and a line dance called The Hustle.  Enjoy the soulful sounds of Ross Rinsey at the corner of Main & Sixth by Olive Twist. In case of inclement weather, the performance will move to 9th Street Brew.

Horse Drawn Carriage Rides: pick up on Main and Sixth Street

Night Market on Main: Explore a variety of local vendors and handmade items along the main street. Interested vendors who want more information can sign up for the Night Market at https://auburnmainstreet.networkforgood.com/events/65390-2024-night-market-may-june-july-august-october.

Themed Dining:

Indulge in specialty milkshakes and themed desserts at 9th Street Brew.

The Olive Twist will be selling Cinco de Mayo Salsa Flights (Traditional Salsa, Black Bean/corn Salsa and a fruit Salsa). They will also have a fun Mexican inspired tea. The Olive Twist Garage door Photo Shoot....6th Street, props available

Cupka’s Bee Good Meadery will have Honey Wine (Mead) slushies, glasses, and flights. 

Mimi's they will be doing Mexican Beer special and chicken Quesada. 

Pizza Forum will be doing taco salad and taco pizza specials

Forever 18 will have salsa and margarita inspired drinks

Jalapeno's Food Truck

Thai Food Truck: You must come out and give it a try!

Latin inspired Zumba: Join us at the James Cultural Plaza as the Auburn Parks Department is having Zumba from 5-8 with Latin inspired music.

Extended Shopping Hours: Stores throughout downtown Auburn will remain open late, giving you extra time to shop and enjoy the festive atmosphere.
